    Default 10 C2 Products

So, today Ford announced that C2/3 will spawn 10 variants under its current brands. So what could they be?

    Ford:

    Focus 3dr
    Focus 4dr (and Mercury variant)
    Focus 5dr
    Focus Wagon
Focus CC (or dropped because of Capri?)
Capri (possible Mercury variant...Capri or Cougar?)
C-Max (possible Mercury variant in NA)
Grand C-Max (possible Mercury variant in NA)
    Escape/Kuga (and Mercury Mariner version)

    Lincoln:

    MKC (premium small 5dr)
    MKG ( small CUV)

This is what makes sense to me...although all of the Focus main variants (3,4,5dr and wagon) could be counted as one version in Ford's counting. I'm also choosing not to count the Transit Connect.

    What do people think?

Ford does not need Edge and Escape, I feel Ford should not horde Edge and Kuga.
Mercury should keep Kuga and Ford keeps Edge and Flex.

Geez I forgot all about the Focus BEV
this shows the current Focus but still a nice video

The Focus BEV prototype is based on the current European Ford Focus and will use a new all-electric powertrain, provided by the strategic supplier Magna. This technology is based on that being developed for Ford's new-generation C-sized global vehicle architecture and which will be launched in North America in 2011

I love this kind of guesswork
and don't have as much time as I'd like for it just now
    but
-- the most important new thing imho is the 2 sizes
-- I'm not sure about counting less car-ish vehicles (TransCo, Escape/Mariner) no matter what unlinked posts elsewhere say ["Ford said 10 models will be created ... Besides the U.S. version of the C-Max, they include four- and five-door versions of the Focus, the electric Focus model, the next generation Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner, and a Mercury sedan. Three other models are under consideration. "]
-- I remember Ford said "10 models" about CD3 too & that didn't happen ...maybe this time, more?
    so
    short wheelbase:
    - Focus sedan
    - Focus 5d
    - sport coupe-or-3d (maybe not called Focus?)
    - BEV (but not sure I believe in it)
    - Comet/Capri 3d/cc-megaBAMR
    long wheelbase:
    - C-Max (Grand only)
    - Mercury sedan
    - Extenz
    - MK"C" (not that I approve)
    - MKG (KuGa)

    + Mariner/Escape & TransCo

ps MKII, I hadn't seen the video when making my deleted comment...
...now, I wonder if Magna did this one too?

The 10th on my list could be the Capri if rumors hold true.

Remember that CD3 was to be for the Flex/Mercury version (before got switched to Lincoln) and i believe there was going to be a Mercury Edge.
